QAC’s are cationic tensio-active agents. At low concentrations they have cidal properties on a wide spectrum of micro-organisms (Gram+ & Gram- bacteria, fungi, viruses). Their major site of action is the cell membrane, where they create a dissolution of phospholipiodes (cholesterol membranes) and cause changes in permeability that allow the escape of cell constituents and cause cell disorientation.

| Indications | GALSEPT 50 is a concentrated disinfectant solution containing a highly active quaternary ammonium blend. |
| Administration and dosage | Clean and rinse equipment and/or other surfaces disinfecting action. Disinfecting non-food contact surfaces (such as floors, walls and equipment): Add 5 ml this product to every 10 liters of water. |
| Special warnings | Flammable. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Wear protective eyewear (goggles, face shield or safety glasses), protective clothing and protective gloves (rubber, chemical resistant) when handling. |
| Storage | Store in original package in a locked, cool, dark place, appropriate for chemical products. Keep away from children, unauthorized personal and animals. |
