Infectious Bronchitis (IB) Freeze Dried Live Vaccine – 1494 strain (Variant II)
Infectious Bronchitis
Infectious Bronchitis (IB) is an acute, highly contagious respiratory disease of chickens with a worldwide distribution. The disease is caused by the Infectious Bronchitis Virus (IBV), a member of the genus Coronavirus (family: Coronaviridae). With time, several different serotypes of IB viruses have been described, with varying extent of extra-tropism to non-respiratory epithelia (e.g., gut, kidneys and gonads), where they may replicate and cause pathologies. To control the disease, live and inactivated vaccines of various serotypes are in use.
